very good

it sounds great! easy to use! the amps do a good job in reproducting the original sound. the only thing is that would be great to be able to put two record sesdions together. without that, the app is usefull just for practice, not to write stuff.

Amazing!

Perfect app, the best to play guitar on your devide

Blows the competition out of the water

I am a big fan of guitar amp modeling technology. I bought the first Line6 amps, I owned several Pods and I use modeling software for my Mac on a daily basis so I have an extensive background for comparison. I have to say I am really impressed with AmpKit and AmpKit LiNK. When IK Multimedia came to market with their iRig + AmpliTube for iPhone solution I hesitated because I already read about the cooperation between Agile Partners and Peavey with their ostensibly superior hardware design and as an owner of Guitar Toolkit I knew that Agile understood a thing or two about user interfaces. But being the gadget freak that I am I couldnt wait and bought it. When it arrived I hooked it up in excitement only to be completely disappointed with the way it sounded. Typically for IK Multimedia the interface was completely and utterly worthless but on the desktop version at least the amp sounds were decent. Not so on the iPhone. It seems they tried to work around the feedback issues of their passive design of the iRig in their software by using heavy Noise Gate algorithms. When AmpKit arrived in the AppStore I downloaded the free version to test it with my iRig. The clean sounds were already a LOT better than the ones AmpliTube was able to create but when I tried out the high gain settings the output signal became one big screeching noise. That was the moment I decided to sell the iRig and get an AmpKit LiNK instead. I never looked back. By now I bought almost every pedal and amp model in their gear store and they all sound great. Being the owner of both the infamous Marshall JCM900 and the Fender Hot Rod Deluxe I can testify that the sounds are spot on. The collection of pedals available is comprehensive and the collection of amp models leaves almost nothing to be desired. I was especially impressed with the Peavey models and it seems that I undeservedly overlooked their amps for years. The only piece of gear I really miss is a Tremolo pedal but I already sent a suggestion through their website and they were incredibly friendly saying theyll consider it for one of their future releases. AmpKit is by far the best piece of software I ever bought from the AppStore. I really love it and have used it every day since.

Thanks

Great ”sounds". Reliable export. Nice support. Missing more tracks to record. When playing around with MY presets, it overrides the original preset without asking first. (a safety issue) Now with GarageBand having launched, its gonna be hard to compete. A direct file import into GarageBand with reliable tempos for synching issues would be a great first step! For GUITAR one of the first and one of the best!

Please tell me

Can i use this app without the white peavey adapter??

Really great

A great App! Using it together with irig, works fine.

Great!

Must have for e guitar players, cool sounds, recording function, backing tracks (could be more though), function to send or add backing tracks. Well done!

Great but i miss IAA Support

Sweet sounds and easy Handling. Great App but i miss support for Intra App Audio. Once this is implemented i add the fifth star.

Best

This is the most unkomplicated guitar app i have ever used. The soundquality is amazing and its very easy to use. I wonder how its like to use it with the original linkkable?

Fx and amp Preview function

The additional amps and effects can be prelistened prior to in app purchase - thats awesome... Cool app.

Meh

Seems fine but fails with powerful headphones that requires batterys (Beats by Monster). Plz fix this.

uhhh dont waste your money

are you kidding? this sounds like crap!!! a tiny practice amp sounds way better than this. who cares if you can use it one your iphone? if you have room to take a guitar and pair of headphones somewhere you should have room for a little practice amp, and any practie amp out there sounds better than this: total digital harshness and cheap sounding. a waste of money!!!

Pretty cool

I liked it through a crappy amp enough i went and bought a peavey vypr tube 60,this app was worth the free download, and the $40 adapter sounds pretty damn close to the 6505 setting on the vypr too, worth it for a practice amp the size of an i-phone!

Good but needs work

Delay effect at almost off is still too loud. You should be allowed to move f/x around regarding their sequence. App should spin sideways to show all f/x without scrolling. Dont upgrade unless they add more f/x and amps. The packages are set up in an intentionally expensive way. Oscillation is also an issue without a lot of tweaking. A simple bass amp would make many people happy as well. The nag screen regarding high volume is a pain!!!
